Despite numerous attempts from me and Evan to convince Clara that she just didn't need to get any older, she still had a birthday! She was adamant that she turn 5... so I wiped my eyes and acted happy!

Later that night, I had to work, but the whole family came up to the hospital and we had a cafeteria birthday dinner with all the fries she could eat and then she opened her presents outside by the pond. It was actually pretty fun...Five years from the day she was born and we were back at the hospital!
When they got home, they all enjoyed Clara's "LIPPS" cake
