Fun at the Capitol

Thursday field trip Utah State Capitol. Loads of fun- don't know if the kids even knew where we were or what takes place there, but hey, there were lots of fun staircases and columns to play on! We were down for the count today- minus about 15 kids. Probably a good thing...we were very loud! Just before we left, I gathered everyone in the middle and on the count of three we all yelled "ECHO!!!" Then we ran! It was funny!
When they are all in high school maybe they'll take each other to the dances held here and get pictures on the same stairs!

One of my friends gave us a little challenge to actually be IN the photo with our kids, so years from now they will see how much fun we all had together! I like to call this one the "Mexican Hat" picture!

And the best part of the whole trip? There was this interesting man taking pictures all over with a VERY old camera- the accordian shaped kind from like the 1900s...anyway, the kids were looking at it so I went over to talk to the guy and I totally knew him!!! He was my band teacher from Jr. High!!! He was a fabulous teacher- we all loved him and he was funnier than ever. He remembered me and even asked about my older sister and parents. It was such a funny thing! What a random meeting! I've thought about him over the years, he hasn't changed much...it was fun to see him!
